Melisa Dellutri alleges she was attacked early Thursday morning.

“When I tried to move it became real, I was like oh no, it was kind of like a calming fear type of thing,” said to Dellutri. “Where its just like… you just know just like oh no just kinda.”

She claims that her basement where she sleeps is secure. To prevent someone from entering, use a bolt lock on the door and window stoppers. Except this week, someone gained access to her home.

“It kinda felt like to me.. like he wasn’t messing around, like he did it before or something like man he wasn’t even shaking or nothing,” says Dellutri.

She told police that just after 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, a man in a mask with dazzling blue eyes and a voice that sounded like Batman awakened her up and told her not to scream or he would kill her.

She claims the man attempted to sexually assault her, which prompted her to fight back.

“I don’t even know how I had the strength to you know just, but I think its by the grace of god that it happened like that and I survived it like that,” Dellutri recalled.

Dellutri claims that after reporting the attack to police, they discovered the culprit had dropped his phone when dashing out the door.

Omaha police say they are investigating the incident as a felony assault. Dellutri says she hopes the phone will help the authorities find the perpetrator. She also says she plans to change the locks and install security cameras around the family home.
