The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears and Plattsmouth Blue Devils will play their final game of the season on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge is coming off three straight wins, while Plattsmouth has five.
Last Friday, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge defeated Plainview 67-30. The Bears have a propensity of sweeping their opponents off the court, having won three games by 24 points or more this season.
While Plattsmouth did not have the ideal season last year (finishing 9-14), it appears that those problems are behind them. They defeated Glenwood, 67-55, on Saturday.
Given the Blue Devils’ lead in MaxPreps’ basketball rankings in their respective home states (93rd in Nebraska and 208th in Iowa), the outcome was not surprising.
Plattsmouth’s win was their fourth straight on the road, bringing their record to 5-1. They won because of their offensive performance, which averaged 62.0 points per game over that time period. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge’s victory improved their record to 4-2.
