FIRST ALERT 6 FORECAST Above-average temperatures throughout the week, dry until Christmas

OMAHA, Nebraska (WOWT) – The nice weather from the weekend has continued into this week.

Our Monday will begin with a lot of cloud cover, but as the day progresses, more and more sunshine will peek through.

This will result in a high in the mid-40s.

Cloud cover returns tonight and will remain through Tuesday, with temperatures settling in the upper 30s for our coolest day of the week.

We expect to be dry through Christmas Day, with temperatures in the low 40s and partly cloudy skies.

Precipitation chances return late Thursday, with drizzle expected in the afternoon.

Temperatures will be above freezing, so transport will not be much hampered.

Shower chances remain throughout Friday, with a stray shower likely on Saturday.

The weekend brings us highs in the low 50s, extending our fairly mild stretch.

Things appear to be cooling by New Year’s Eve, with a little risk of precipitation.
