Police respond to a shooting and pursue suspects in North Omaha.

OMAHA, Nebraska (WOWT) – Omaha Police responded to a shooting and pursued suspects in North Omaha on Saturday afternoon.

OPD authorities told First Alert 6 that officers responded to a shooting near 44th Street and Redman Avenue at 3:44 p.m.

At the scene, one victim was found and taken to the hospital. According to OPD, the shooting took place outside.

A suspect vehicle was also discovered on the scene, prompting a pursuit that ended near 60th Street and Fowler Avenue.

One of the suspects was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound.

According to OPD, two of the tree victims are likely to live. The third was a “walk-in” to a hospital, and police are still investigating if it is connected to the gunshot in question.

It is still unclear whether the suspect and the victim are connected. According to OPD, more people may be implicated, but three have already been injured by gunfire.

The investigation is underway.
