OMAHA – The two suspects in the death of an Omaha man in 2023 have been sentenced.
Nadim Zarazua-Hernandez Jr., 25, was sentenced to 5 to 15 years in prison for manslaughter on December 19, 2024. This is after he pleaded “no contest” in 2024.
Jessica Hernandez, 28, was sentenced to 59 months’ probation for tampering with evidence on November 13, 2024. This comes after Hernandez agreed to a plea deal in which a manslaughter charge was dropped.
Both were involved in the death of Carlos Salguero-Canar, 30, who was discovered dead at an apartment complex near 28th and Harrison Street on the night of June 2, 2023. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.
Details about the case are limited because most documents are still sealed.
