OMAHA, Nebraska – Crews responded to a fire in an Omaha home’s basement on Wednesday afternoon.
At approximately 12:30 p.m., a fire broke out near South 41st and Arbor streets.
Crews arrived to the home and located the fire in the basement. They made quick work of the fire and contained it in about seven minutes, according to a report.

The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental, due to a furnace malfunction.
Investigators determined the damage to be about $13,000.
