Brazosport’s recent game may have dampened their spirits after a 65-41 victory over El Campo the previous Friday. The Brazosport Exporters lost 72-29 to the La Marque Cougars on Tuesday. The game was the Exporters’ lowest-scoring matchup this season.
Brazosport’s loss was their first in the district, dropping their record to 3-1 and overall to 13-8. La Marque’s win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, bringing their record to 25-2.
Brazosport will face Wharton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wharton is coming in with some offensive muscle, averaging 55.3 points per game this season. La Marque will travel to challenge Sweeny at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
