Texas City suffered their fifth consecutive loss on Monday, unable to overcome their current slump. Despite being one point away from ending their streak, they were defeated 44-43 by the Alvin Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, this is their second loss to the Stingarees this season; they also lost 41-39 in their previous meeting in November 2024.

Farris has been on fire recently, recording two or more steals in each of her last three games. Kaydence Peoples, with nine points and three steals, also contributed significantly.
