Border czar Tom Homan responds to Selena Gomez's viral post sobbing about ICE raids

When asked about Selena Gomez’s now-deleted Instagram post in which she sobbed over law enforcement action, border czar Tom Homan said Monday night that the Trump administration has “no apologies” for the ICE raids targeting illegal migrants in the United States.

“My people, including the children, are being attacked. I do not understand. I am so sorry; I wish I could do something, but I can’t. I do not know what to do. “I promise to try everything,” Gomez said in the video.

Gomez was chastised for appearing out of touch, and she quickly removed the video, writing on her Instagram story, “Apparently it’s not ok to show empathy for people.”

When asked about the viral video on Fox News, Homan denied the alleged attacks Gomez mentioned, claiming that Immigration and Customs Enforcement only targets illegal migrants with a criminal history.

“If they don’t like it, go to Congress and change the laws. Homan told Fox News, “We’re going to do this operation without apologies.”

“We will make our community safer. It is all for the betterment of this country. And we’ll keep going. No apologies. “We’re moving forward.”

Homan added that he doesn’t believe any families have been arrested.

Over the weekend, ICE arrested 286 people on Saturday and 956 on Sunday.

Homan has promised that there will be arrests every day, which could result in millions of deportations.

Some groups, including Quakers, have already filed lawsuits against the Trump administration over the rapid crackdown, claiming that the raids on houses of worship are unconstitutional.
