Dauphin County, Pennsylvania — Snow began falling in Pennsylvania early this morning, lasting for hours and causing numerous road closures throughout our region.
The snow affected people throughout Central Pennsylvania, and the worst conditions may still be ahead.
“This is bad out here on the highways; it’s very slick,” said Necarus Hollins. “That’s why I come off the highway and park.”
Over the next few days, temperatures are expected to drop below freezing. This will result in more dangerous road conditions, with black ice being a major issue.
“I’m gonna make sure next time I lay down salt and I’m a try to get some [type of] heated pad for the steps,” Shyheme Jefferson told me.
If you’re going anywhere in the next few days, make a plan before you leave.
“When I feel like it’s unsafe for me and for other people around I just park,” Hollins told reporters. “If you don’t gotta come out, don’t.”
