Carol Acosta, a popular influencer, died tragically after reportedly choking on her dinner in front of her horrified family.
According to her younger sister Khatyan, the 27-year-old mother of two, known online as Killadamente, died in New York from a cardiac arrest.
Her heartbroken sister announced the star’s death with a selfie of them on a plane, captioned “I love you sister and I will always love you.”
“I thank God for giving me a sister like you with such a big heart. “Rest in peace, sister.”
She followed up with a teary video message thanking Carol’s fans for their support.
“Thank you also for supporting my sister while she was still alive,” she said.
Carol was about to become a mother for the third time before her unexpected death on January 3.
She announced her pregnancy back in July.
Her second child, Legend, was born in February, while her first child, Reina, is nearly two years old.
A cousin revealed that the family is still awaiting post-mortem results, but they believe she died of a cardiac arrest following the doomed family meal.
She went on to say that Carol was enjoying her dinner until she began to “choke and have difficulty breathing.”
Moments later, she became overwhelmed and encountered a “attack of some kind”.
The family rushed the 27-year-old to the hospital, but doctors were unable to save her.

Carol moved to the United States from the Dominican Republic at the age of 12 and was bullied because of her weight.
But the influencer was able to turn the torment into humour and amassed a massive fan base of over 6.6 million followers.
In 2017, she released a song called “Me Amo y No Me Importa,” which translates to “I Love Myself and Do not Care.”
Earlier this year, the popular online personality informed her fans that she had decided to “embrace God and turn her back on drugs”.
A now-harrowing online post read: “I repented, died, and was born again. And, my brothers and sisters, I am now proudly sin-free.
“God forgave me and it feels so good to be free from the anxiety and depression that used to force me to take drugs and do things I did not want to do.”
Her devastated fans have flooded her Instagram comment section since her death was announced.
Someone prayed: “May this goddess who never let herself be humiliated by anyone rest in peace.”
Another wrote: “A mother abandoned us because she was more than an influencer; she was a mother, and I swear there is nothing worse than losing one of your parents.
“God, bless those creatures. I am 24 years old, and I miss my father every moment. I do not know what to do without him.”
Carol’s bereaved loved ones have asked her fans to help raise funds so that they can properly send the influencer off.
An online family statement read: “On January 3, our dear Carolar, also known as Killadamente, passed away.
“The Acosta Gonzalez family shares their grief with everyone who knew her.
“At her young age, she managed to help thousands of people through her work, but on this occasion, we unite and ask for your assistance in ensuring she receives the farewell she deserves.”
“If it is within your possibilities we would appreciate a contribution however small to help go towards funeral costs and help her family and children overcome this enormous loss.”
