Arizona is facing a significant bed bug problem, with several cities experiencing severe infestations. Here are 5 Arizona cities currently combating a bed bug onslaught:
Phoenix
As the largest city in Arizona, Phoenix has been hit hard by bed bugs. Professional pest control companies report a continuous increase in bed bug infestations throughout the city. The warm climate provides ideal conditions for bed bugs to thrive and reproduce rapidly.
Many Phoenix residents are seeking help from pest control experts to eliminate these persistent pests from their homes and businesses.
Tucson
Tucson has also been dealing with a serious bed bug problem. In September 2023, a dead bed bug was found in a file folder on the third floor of Tucson City Hall, indicating an ongoing infestation in the building. This highlights how bed bugs can infiltrate even government facilities and public spaces in the city.
Scottsdale
Scottsdale has seen some of the worst bed bug infestations in recent years. In one case, pest control professionals discovered an estimated 10,000 bed bugs in a single location. The infestation was so severe that bed bugs were found crawling on walls and forming inch-deep piles on floors.
Sun City
Sun City made headlines recently due to a massive bed bug infestation. Pest control experts described it as “one of the worst we’ve ever seen,” with bed bugs forming layers up to an inch deep in carpets. The infestation had persisted for five years before professional intervention was sought.
Mesa
Mesa has not been spared from the bed bug onslaught. Local pest control companies report an increasing number of calls for bed bug treatments in residential and commercial properties across the city. The problem is particularly concerning in multi-unit housing complexes where infestations can easily spread between units.
These Arizona cities are taking the bed bug threat seriously, with many pest control companies offering specialized treatments and education to help residents combat infestations.
However, the persistent nature of bed bugs and their ability to spread quickly means that ongoing vigilance and professional intervention are often necessary to keep these pests under control.

There’s nothing in a store, or home remedy that is going to kill the Bed Bugs except for a exterminator and not a heat treatments because you have to heat the whole house at once not room by room to kill them and in Tucson the one man only has 1 heat and treats room for room and I didn’t get rid of them Thank God my sister helped and paid an exterminator
This is terrible!! These bedbugs can get in boxes, clothes, drawers, even on your body when you sleep at night!! If you wake up with 3 bumps that itch bad, look all over your body. You’ll have more.years ago we slept overnight at a motel next day we all had bites!! Even in my hair. Get rid of them fast!!!
You can get a huge bag of diatomaceous earth at your local pool supply store. Its Cheap, non poisoness, easy to apply and it works better than any over the counter bedbug poison that you can buy.. I tried every available over the counter bedbug poison to no avail they kept popping up. I found out they love nice leather couches as they infested the one I had so that went into the dumpster. I found a new leather couch and they tried to invade and that’s when I dusted with the diatoms and let the millions year old dead sea creatures do the work for me. The dust did a number on the bedbugs and roach problem i was having and I am seeing less scorpions also. The stuff works
