The US Retiree, Disability, VA and SSI Pay Schedule is a valuable resource for retirees. Regardless of the type of benefit we receive, knowing when we will be able to cash our checks allows us to better organize our finances.
When we consider the possibility of receiving an extra monthly benefit in addition to our regular benefit, the financial relief can be significant. Retirees receive payments on four different days per month. Certain criteria must be met in order to be eligible for membership in each group.
Furthermore, receiving this additional pay means that we will be paid twice per month. Before the end of January, we will be able to receive two payments. However, this requires more than just a Social Security check. Take note of these requirements to see if you’ll receive two separate checks in the first month of 2025.
Who gets two payments in January 2025?
To receive these payments, you must accept two different benefits. On the one hand, receiving a retirement check is necessary. On the other hand, you must also receive Supplemental Security Income benefits. These are the two checks we will receive before the end of January 2025.
The days when the Social Security Administration will send out all the checks are:
- January 3rd. Payments for retirees prior to May 1997.
- January 8th. Check for post-May 1997 retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- January 15th. Check for post-May 1997 retirees with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month.
- January 22nd. Check for retirees after May 1997 with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of the month.
- January 31st. February Supplemental Security Income payment.
You can only get two of these checks. One payment will be made on January 31st, while the other will be for any other day based on your retiree group.
The February SSI benefit will arrive early in January 2025 due to February 1st being a weekend. For this reason, the Administration sends it sooner. Finally, keep in mind that in order to receive payments on the same day they are sent, you must have Direct Deposit enabled. If we do not have this collection method, we will have to wait a few days to receive the funds in our current account.
