On Saturday at 1:20 a.m., the St. Paul Police Department responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash near Highway 281 and Adams Street.
Police said the driver of a Honda Civic was driving south on Highway 281 when they crossed the center line. The driver then overcorrected, entering the west ditch and rolling several times before hitting a billboard.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle were taken to Howard County Medical Center, where they died.
The driver did not wear a seatbelt. Police believe speed was a factor in the crash.
The Howard County Sheriff’s Office, Nebraska State Patrol, and St. Paul Volunteer Fire and Rescue all assisted with this incident.
