The town also has a relatively low percentage of adults with a bachelor’s degree or higher, at about 17.3%, compared to the state average of 38.2%. Additionally, the median home value in Ashland is $160,600, which is less than half of the state’s median home value of $288,700.
In another report, the median household income in Ashland was slightly adjusted to $40,559, still reflecting its status as one of the economically challenged areas in New Hampshire. Despite New Hampshire having a relatively low overall poverty rate, towns like Ashland face significant economic challenges.
