LINCOLN – On Saturday, police arrested a woman in northeast Lincoln for allegedly firing a gun and threatening another person.
According to Lincoln Police, officers were dispatched to a house near N 58th Street and Huntington Avenue after a woman, later identified as 46-year-old Lori Leafty of Lincoln, allegedly threatened another person before firing a handgun inside the home.
Officers discovered Leafty in her vehicle, attempting to flee the scene. Leafty cooperated and was taken into custody without incident.
No one was physically injured during the incident or arrest.
A firearm was recovered from the house.
Leafty was booked into Lancaster County Jail on charges of terroristic threats and felony weapon use.
