Boyfriend Reports Woman Missing; After Her Body Is Found, He Faces Charges With Family Member

The body of a Maryland mother who went missing from the home she shared with her boyfriend nearly a month ago has been discovered, authorities said. The discovery also resulted in charges against her boyfriend and his uncle.

Lesbia Mileth Ramirez Guerra, 23, was discovered buried on April 17 in a “heavily wooded area” of Cedarville State Forest in Prince George’s County, according to a Charles County Sheriff’s Office press release.

Her cause of death was unknown, but her body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, Maryland, for an autopsy.

Guerra was last seen on March 31 in the Waldorf, Maryland, home she shared with her boyfriend and several others; however, her boyfriend reported her missing on April 2, according to the sheriff’s office.

Following the discovery of Guerra’s body, her boyfriend, Keycy Robinson Alexi Barrera Rosa, 24, was charged with murder, according to the sheriff’s office. He is in custody outside of the state while awaiting his return to Charles County.

Rosa’s uncle, Rolvin Eduardo Bererra Bererra, 37, has also been arrested and charged as an accessory for alleged “actions he took in Prince George’s County following her murder,” according to the sheriff’s office. Berrera is currently being held without bond at the Charles County Detention Center.

It is unclear whether Rosa and Berrera have entered pleas or hired attorneys to speak on their behalf.

Authorities suspected foul play in the mother of two’s disappearance after discovering “unusual and suspicious activity” at her home the day before she was reported missing, according to a previous press release from the sheriff’s office.

Investigators who executed a search warrant at Guerra’s home were unable to locate her, but they did discover a family vehicle, believed to be “involved in the case,” on April 2. During the search, investigators discovered counterfeit federal documents belonging to Guerra’s boyfriend, who has two children with her.

Immigration authorities informed detectives that the boyfriend’s identity documents were “fraudulent” and that he was in the country illegally. Rosa, whose identity was not disclosed by the sheriff’s office at the time, was later detained by immigration officials.

“While this was not the ending that we all hoped for, I am grateful to all those who worked so hard to find Ms. Guerra,” Charles County Sheriff Troy D. Berry said in a statement. “On behalf of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office, I offer our most sincere condolences to all of her family and friends.”
