If you’ve used Cash App in the past few years and had issues with unauthorized transactions or account freezes, you could be one of the many Americans eligible for part of a $15 million class action settlement.
This payout follows a lawsuit against Block, Inc., the parent company of Cash App. The case highlights growing concerns about data security and customer rights in financial technology apps.
Here’s everything you need to know about this settlement, eligibility rules, and when to expect your payment.
Why Is Cash App Paying a $15 Million Settlement?
The lawsuit claimed that:
- Some users faced fraudulent transactions
- Others had their accounts frozen without proper reason
- Many experienced delays in resolving complaints
- Several people’s data was accessed without authorization during security breaches
Though Cash App has become one of the most used peer-to-peer payment platforms in the U.S., users raised serious questions about how their accounts and personal data were handled.
