Many foodies have been perplexed after discovering that the sweet treat resembles a “artificial food coloring nightmare.”
Taco Bell fans were a little concerned after seeing what appeared to be a new dessert at the popular fast food restaurant.
On Sunday, the rumoured treat was revealed in a Facebook post by the account Greasy News, and the reaction was noticeably negative among fans.
The post’s caption read: “Taco Bell has a tentative release date… this fall!” Baja Blast Pie!
“This one has been testing for a while now and was unveiled in late 2023.”
This was not the only cause for concern; it was the image of what it could look like.
The accompanying image depicts the Baja Blast pie as a bright green dessert with a strip of whipped cream on top.
The luminous green is certainly eye-catching, but it did not appear to go over well with fans.
‘TOOTHPASTE DESSERT?’
To summarize the fan reaction, one comment referred to the dessert as “toothpaste?”
The feedback does not really improve from there.
The overwhelming negative sentiment focuses on the color of the dessert.
One person commented, “Nope, not eating that.
“Would it make a good car wax?”
Another commented, “Whatever it is, it does not look very appealing.”
A third commented, “That looks like the stuff you used to make Creepy Crawler bugs.”
It is worth noting that this dessert has not been confirmed for Taco Bell menus yet.
The US Sun has contacted Taco Bell for possible confirmation.
RETURN OF THE NUGGET
According to the US Sun, Taco Bell has reintroduced crispy chicken nuggets to its nationwide menu.
The spicy snack has returned to all US locations for a limited time, as part of Taco Bell’s larger plan to make crispy chicken a permanent fixture by 2026.
Starting Wednesday, the nuggets will return for an eight-week run.
Taylor Montgomery, Taco Bell’s chief marketing officer, stated, “The demand for our nuggets was off the charts.
