Social media has been flooded with complaints from hungry diners about the chain’s slow service.
One customer, Robert (@rpacktor), posted on X: “More than a dozen cars parked waiting for food at the drive-through.
“Over twenty minutes so far and still half a dozen cars in front of me.”
The fast-food icon quickly responded, saying, “We understand that time is of the essence, Robert.”
“Please share your contact info, email address, and restaurant address via DM, so we can look into it.”
Another user, GStatPro, piled on, complaining: “I will never understand the point of ordering ahead on an app or using your drive thru if I still have to park at @McDonalds for another 20 minutes.”
McDonald’s responded with its familiar line, “We understand that time is of the essence.”
“Share with us your contact info, app email address and restaurant address via DM so we can see what is up.”
It is unclear which McDonald’s locations were the target of the complaints, but the frustration was palpable.
