In a podcast interview, Susan Rice says that Pete Hegseth is as dumb as a rock

During an interview with Brian Taylor Cohen of “No Lie With BTC,” Rice did not hold back when she spoke negatively about Hegseth.

Susan Rice, who was President Barack Obama’s national security advisor, was honest about what she thinks of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, even though there are rumors about his future in the Trump government.

The Hill reports that Rice did not hold back when she talked about Hegseth in a negative light during an interview with “No Lie With BTC” show Brian Taylor Cohen. She was talking about some of the effects of the “Signalgate” scandal.

There you have it. If you are a white male Christian cisgender strong MAGA man, you can be as stupid as a rock and still be considered for secretary of defense. “That is what this episode seems to have taught us,” Rice told Cohen.

Rice went on, comparing how unqualified she thinks Hegseth is to how the Trump administration is fighting diversity, fairness, and inclusion.

“DEI has been used as an insult to say that anyone who is a woman, a person of color, a faith minority, or has a disability is It could be a Native American veteran or anyone else who has benefited in any way from the idea that everyone should be treated the same and that people should be judged on their own abilities, not because they are female or of color.

“Anyone who does not fit the mold of a white Christian cisgender male is automatically seen as less important by this administration,” Rice said.

According to The Intercept, Rice was on the Defense Policy Board until April 24, when Hegseth supposedly fired members of the board after a 45-day review. However, the timing of the firings suggests that Hegseth actually fired those members after a backlash from right-wing social media users.

In an interview with Tucker Carlson on Fox News, Dan Caldwell, a former employee of Hegseth who was fired, said that the board currently had people on it who Caldwell thought were “incredibly hostile” to Trump’s plans.

Caldwell named Rice as a specific source of leaks in Hegseth’s Department of Defense. Hegseth had been blamed for the leaks.

Caldwell told Carlson, “She (Rice) and a bunch of other people who are very against the president and his ideas are still on the Defense Policy Board.” “That is a good place to start if you want to find out where leaks might be coming from.”

In a statement, Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said that the changes were in line with the values and goals of the Trump government.

“Secretary Hegseth appreciates the members’ work for the department and the United States of America, but changes need to be made to support the department’s new strategic direction and policy priorities and to make sure that resources are used effectively,” Parnell said.
