OFF THE SHELVES Trader Joe's customers urge the brand to 'change their mind' after confirming that a popular vanilla treat has been discontinued

Fans on social media lamented the end of their beloved product.

Trader Joe’s Vanilla Cookie Thins are reportedly being discontinued.

A fan shared the news on Facebook.

“Just found out Trader Joes is discontinuing the Vanilla Cookie Thins,” the user stated in a post.

“They are so good and I hope they will change their mind.”

“That is a bummer!” another user responded.

The post was made on the Trader Joe’s Discontinued page, which tracks products that have been temporarily or permanently discontinued by the California-based retailer.

Trader Joe’s Vanilla Cookie Thins were added to the Cookie Thins lineup.

They joined Meyer Lemon and Triple Ginger, which had been on the shelves for over 15 years, according to the Trader Joe’s website.

The Vanilla version, like its predecessors, is made by the same supplier.

Each cookie delivers the same signature crispiness that fans have come to expect.

They are delicately sweet, with a light, aromatic vanilla flavor.

The cookies are pale gold in color and have delicate scalloped edges.

The tiny flecks of vanilla bean give them a homemade appearance.

Trader Joe’s claims they are ideal for serving on a dessert platter.

They also go well with coffee and tea.

Alternatively, they can be used as a crunchy ice cream topping.

They can even be crushed and mixed into a pie or cheesecake crust.

The release represents a rare update to one of the store’s most popular treat categories.

Fair Trade Organic 72% Cacao Belgian Dark Chocolate Bars, another popular Trader Joe’s treat, appear to have vanished without a trace.

However, that product eventually returned to the shelves at a higher price point.
