A man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting another man for “taking too long” in a Miami parking spot, according to reports.

On Wednesday, May 7, Anthony Russian was charged with second-degree attempted murder and using a firearm to commit a felony. The 29-year-old allegedly shot another man outside an Airbnb in the Wynwood neighborhood on April 11, according to WPLG Local 10 and WSVN.

Officers responded to “indicating gunfire” alerts shortly after 11 p.m. local time at an Airbnb unit in the 500 block of NW 33rd St., where they discovered the victim “bleeding from his right foot,” according to the arrest report obtained by the outlets. The victim had been staying with his girlfriend and cousin.

He allegedly told police that he arrived at the parking lot outside the Airbnb after returning from Wynwood with his cousin and his cousin’s wife, and “was attempting to park his gray Toyota Tacoma in a tight parking lot when the driver of a white Porsche Macan began honking at him.”

According to the arrest report, the driver, who was later identified as Russian, allegedly told the victim that he was “taking too long” to explain why he was honking. Russian then “aimed it at the victim’s torso and pulled the trigger,” according to WLPG Local 10 and WSVN.

Police said the gun malfunctioned twice before Russian allegedly shot the victim again as he walked away, hitting him in the right foot, according to WSVN.

The victim drove himself to Ryder Trauma Center, according to the outlet, citing police.

The victim positively identified Russian in a photo lineup. He was arrested on Wednesday at Fifth Street and Collins Avenue in Miami Beach and taken into custody, according to Local 10.

Russian is reportedly being held without bond on attempted murder charges.
