OMAHA – The Omaha Fire Department discovered squatters in a vacant building after battling a fire Sunday morning.
According to an OFD press release issued Sunday afternoon, officers responded to the scene at a vacant, two-story building near 30th and Charles streets around 8:30 a.m.
After the fire was extinguished, OFD reported finding evidence of squatters inside the building.
The cause of the fire is being investigated. The building is considered a total loss.
