LINCOLN – Did church last long?

An inmate who allegedly went missing while on religious leave has been returned to custody.

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services announced on Tuesday that Tomica Anderson had been arrested by the Omaha Police Department.

Anderson went missing on Sunday after failing to return to the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln.

Inmates with prior permission are permitted to leave the low-security facility for work, school, or religious services.

She was taken into custody on Monday and booked into the Douglas County Jail.

Anderson was serving a five to six-year sentence for burglary in Douglas County.
