OMAHA – The Bellevue Police Department is investigating after officers discovered two people dead on Tuesday.
Police were called to an apartment near 36th Street and Bline Avenue just before noon Tuesday to check on a resident’s well-being.
According to a release, BPD was contacted by someone who reported that a male resident had not been seen or heard from in several days.
When officers entered the apartment, they discovered a man and a woman dead from gunshot wounds.
The victims were identified as Luis G. Zavala, 32, and Larissa R. Zavala, 30, both from Bellevue, according to the report.
According to BPD, this is an isolated incident with no safety concerns for the public.
