A Missouri man is facing murder charges after murdering a pregnant woman in front of five children, all of them were under the age of 10.
Vanier J. Jones, 28, is facing murder charges after allegedly shooting and killing Christina Lynn Rentchler and her unborn child, according to FirstAlert 4.
According to the station, Jones, who was residing there at the time, shot another woman. That woman pretended to be dead and then heard Jones ask some of the youngsters where Rentchler was.
According to investigators, the children’s ages ranged from two to ten. According to FirstAlert 4, some were Rentchler’s offspring while others were not. Jones was on parole for second-degree assault when the incident occurred.
According to stltoday.com, Jones first informed authorities that he was with someone else and was not at the home when the incident took place. When authorities questioned Jones’ alleged alibi, the witness denied Jones’ version of events and stated that Jones had slain a woman.
Jones is charged with first-degree murder, first-degree child endangerment, and five charges of armed criminal action because to his contact with the children in the residence, according to FirstAlert 4.
