OMAHA – Two men were injured after a shooting in North Omaha on Wednesday morning.
At 9:41 a.m. on Wednesday, the Omaha Police Department received a call reporting a shooting near 27th Street and Patrick Avenue, south of Lake Street.
Officers told First Alert 6 that police were conducting an investigation in the area Wednesday morning. The OPD helicopter, Able-1, was also deployed.
According to OPD reports, two men were taken to Nebraska Medical Center with injuries that officers did not consider life-threatening. According to police, the victims were doing yard work in a vacant lot when someone opened fire and drove away in a gray SUV.
Officers searched for surveillance cameras as well as potential witnesses.
