OMAHA – One of the suspects in the shooting death of a 15-year-old in March had his preliminary hearing on Tuesday.

Judge Beau Finley referred Christopher Swillie’s case to district court for trial.

Swillie is charged with three counts of using a firearm to commit a felony, one count of first degree murder, one count of first degree assault, and one count of discharging a firearm near a vehicle or building.

Swillie is being held without a bond.

Swillie and Lashanee Thomas-Moore, 19, were arrested in March for the shooting death of Shalamar Davis, Jr.

Thomas-Moore was accused as an accessory to the murder and had her bond set at $75,000 after her initial court appearance.

According to authorities, Thomas-Moore admitted to allowing Swillie to use her car during the shooting and that they were involved in a shootout.

The event near 52nd and Pinkney was one of only three shootings that day in Omaha.
