President Donald Trump held a National Day of Prayer event at the White House, vowing that America will always be “one nation under God” following the previous administration’s four-year persecution of people of faith.

President Donald Trump also issued an Executive Order establishing a presidential commission on religious liberty.

According to Trump, Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick came up with the idea, and he will chair the commission.

Trump has also announced that Ben Carson, who served as housing and urban development secretary during Trump’s first term, will be a member of the commission.
