In this episode, host Reid Doehling interviews Omaha artist Anthony Peña.
Though an artist since a child, Mr. Peña stalled taking the traditional route of schooling to advance his craft. Only recently after he started posting on Instagram and a chance meetup with fellow Omaha artist Watie White did his work begin to take off. His work copies comic book style and often examines the human form.
Mr. Peña’s work includes the Hope Mural that was in Millwork Commons, is on one of the new Benson Banners, another mural on the side of Automatic Printing completed in 2022. He creates art and digital graphics for clients and recently took up a studio at Hot Shops.
