The people who casually visit galleries during open hours, Benson First Friday, or other events are not the kind of art collectors who can finance your artistic lifestyle.
When is your art “commercialized”? Perhaps it lacks a soul. Perhaps it feels like it belongs in a gift shop. But commercialization might also help with the accessibility of art, making it more available to a wider audience.
