History
Ashland is located near Salt Creek, which was along the Oxbow Trail which ran northwest across Nebraska. Today the small town is growing due to its ideal location between Omaha and Lincoln and near Interstate 80 and the attractions off the highway.
The slightly larger town of Wahoo, NE is the county seat of Saunders County.
