Obdulia Sanchez, 26, who gained national attention for livestreaming the aftermath of a deadly car crash that killed her 14-year-old sister, has been killed in a fatal drive-by shooting in Stockton, California.
The tragic incident has led to the arrest of a suspect, Monica Barajas, who was taken into custody for murder and attempted murder.
Infamous Livestream and Prior Legal Troubles
In 2017, when Sanchez was 18 years old, she crashed her car while driving under the influence (DUI) and livestreamed the aftermath on Instagram. During the livestream, she continued to record even after her sister’s body was visibly lifeless.
14-year-old Jacqueline Sanchez was killed in the crash, and the livestream, which showed the teen’s dead body, sparked outrage and garnered widespread media attention.
