OMAHA, Neb. — J. Skinner Baking in south-central Omaha was evacuated Monday morning after a small ammonia leak was detected in the building. Around 200 employees were forced to leave the bakery as crews worked to contain the leak.

The Omaha Fire Department responded to the scene as a precautionary measure. According to a company representative, the leak was quickly contained and isolated within the ammonia system.
One employee was treated medically, though the treatment was purely precautionary and there were no serious injuries reported.
All-Clear and Return to Work
After ensuring the leak was under control, emergency crews gave the all-clear, allowing employees to return to work. The company reassured the public that the situation was resolved safely.
