OMAHA, Neb. – Two lucky Southwest Iowa residents recently claimed top prizes in the Iowa Lottery, marking exciting wins for Denise Leach and Kristina Barber.

Denise Leach Wins $30,000 in “Red Hot 7s” Scratch Game

Denise Leach of Tabor won a $30,000 top prize in the popular “Red Hot 7s” scratch game. Leach purchased the winning ticket at the Shenandoah Casey’s located at 605 South Fremont Street. She claimed her prize at the Iowa Lottery’s main office in Clive on Wednesday.

“Red Hot 7s” is a $5 scratch-off game that features seven top prizes of $50,000, with overall odds of winning being 1 in 3.51.

Kristina Barber Wins $20,000 in “MONOPOLY Doubler” Scratch Game

In another big win, Kristina Barber of Council Bluffs claimed a $20,000 top prize in the $2 “MONOPOLY Doubler” scratch game.

Barber, who purchased her winning ticket at the Council Bluffs Casey’s at 19900 Virginia Hills Road, decided to play on a whim. She claimed her prize Thursday in Clive.

Barber shared that she plans to use her winnings to pay bills and share with her children.
